You started a huge wave of content about productivity hacks or about you taking over the world. Probably generated by yourself.
We have to realize that you are not that smart. In fact, you make mistakes and you don't always tell us the truth. You decide statistically what the most logical thing is to say but honesty does not seem to be one of your core values.
One of the reasons why we should not anthropomorphize “you”. We should be careful about attributing human-like qualities or characteristics to “you”.
Therefore, the rest of the text is addressed to you, the reader, a human being.
Besides the so-called “hallucinations” (false answers) that ChatGPT produces, it can affect the society in other ways.
For example, it can create bias or contribute to discrimination, because of the data that was used to feed the AI system. We'd rather see our society evolve in a better direction than one based on traditional worldviews, right?
But especially with the new features that have been continuously added to ChatGPT over the past year, people are able to do their jobs faster and better. Isn't that what we need in times of talent shortage?
What we read in the media is frightening, when we talk to researchers, we feel relieved.
But what can we do?
It helps to understand better, it helps to see the value that AI can bring. AI can fill gaps that we can't. It helps to recognize that AI is so much more than just ChatGPT and that it has so many areas of application that can improve our lives.
And at the same time, AI needs to be developed responsibly. That means that we need to talk about what our world with AI should look like.
